Institutional support

UNIDO ITPO Italy, in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, supports institutions programmes aimed at assisting SMEs and investors. The goal is to  assist investment promotion in developing countries.

Capacity building

• Delegates Program: UNIDO ITPO welcomes in its offices representatives of developing countries, identified among officials from local institutional counterparts, to support the promotional activities of their countries of origin. During the period of stay in Italy, delegates can also benefit of capacity building opportunities to become familiar with UNIDO’s tools and methodologies.
• Study tour: organization of ad hoc technical missions for special in-depth focuses (ie visits to the Italian industrial districts, export consortia, etc.)

Assistance and promotion

• Definition and implementation of technical assistance programs for the development of specific industrial sectors;
• Support to the consolidation of Industrial, Handicraft associations and Chambers of Commerce;
• Facilitation of contacts with institutions working in support of SMEs at national and international level;
• Promotion of the developing country through seminars, newsletters and dissemination of information in respect of investment opportunities and industrial facilities and capabilities  to interested companies.
