Rome, 25th March 2012. The V edition of Expoedilizia 2012 was concluded on a more than positive note. UNIDO ITPO Italy participated at the fair with the aim of individuating specific networking, economic cooperation and joint venture opportunities in the construction sector. The 2012 edition strove for internationalisation and to offer enterprises concrete business opportunities. To facilitate contact between the most interesting markets of the Mediterranean basin (such as Turkey, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and Greece) and enterprises, Expoedilizia hosted buyer delegations from these markets. The Libyan delegation in particular, headed by actors involved in the reconstruction of the country, after illustrating to Italian entrepreneurs the available opportunities in Libya during the convention titled “Libya 2012: Prospects and Scenarios directed to the Italian Construction Sector,” it could evaluate the acquisition of the latest technologies and of the excellences made in Italy. These ranged from plant design, colour and paint, windows, doors and locks. UNIDO is glad to be able to support Developing Countries, encouraging access to new markets and new trade realities that overcome just the export of goods and that are increasingly oriented towards the creation of true partnerships, not only through the construction of infrastructures and buildings but mainly thanks to formative activities and transfer of competencies to local personnel.
