The country presentation on Vietnam, financed by Umbra Region and organized by Umbria Export in collaboration with Intesa San Paolo, focused on the several partnership opportunities between Umbrian and Vietnamese companies.
In this occasion, UNIDO ITPO Italy had the chance to present the activities it pursues to support Vietnamese entrepreneurs, especially within the framework of SME Cluster Development. 12 Vietnamese companies, accompanied by the Vietnamese Ambassador in Italy Mr. Nguyen Hoang Long and guided by the Embassy’s Commercial Attaché Mr. Bui Vuong Anh, had the chance to present to their Italian counterparts the investment opportunities available in the Country. These involve several sectors, such as renewable energies, constructions, agricultural machines and electrical systems.
, a steadily growing country and ideal gateway for the Asian market, offers appealing opportunities for the Umbrian metal industry and for the plants installation sector.
The Vice Director of the Europe division of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and future Vietnamese Ambassador to Italy explained: “In Vietnam, we have to develop partnerships with your enterprises in sectors with which we compare ourselves to China and other Asian countries”. Furthermore, Long has focused on the formative aspect of its activity: “I believe in cultural training”, he said, “and on the potential of the new relationship betweenItaly and my Country. Indeed, I believe that new projects of cooperation could spring from those relationships. This is the real scope of my visits to the representatives of Italian economy and culture”.
This event follows up the Italian business mission to Ho Chi Minh City, organized by UNIDO, and aimed at firsthand introducing to Italian companies the most promising sectors of the Vietnamese market.
