Visit of Ghana Embassy to DMECO

Bari, 5 June 2018 - UNIDO ITPO Italy continues its commitment to support industrial development in Sub-Saharan Africa, today involving Ghana . With the aim of promoting technology transfer and investment in the country, the Office organized a visit of the Ghanaian Embassy to the Italian company DMECO.

DMECO is a company that aims to provide products made in Italy and technologically advanced on the international market, namely through the "living" project. It is aimed at the production of containers and modular solutions for different purposes, including housing and infirmary. In this context, the company has been identified by the Investment and Technology promotion Office of UNIDO as a technology provider potentially useful for the development of the African country.

During the visit, Ambassador H.E. Paulina Patience Abayage had the opportunity to be exposed to the production of the Italian company, then illustrating the investment opportunities existing in her country, and identifying potential local counterparts interested in such solutions, such as the Ministry of Defense, Interior and Energy, as well as some agencies connected to them.

UNIDO ITPO Italy will follow-up this visit, in order to facilitate the visit of DMECO in Ghana oriented to explore potential synergies.
