Within the framework of the project “Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions in the energy and environment sectors” (#FIPEE), UNIDO ITPO Italy carried out a technical assistance mission to SIB - Salon International du Bâtiment (the International Building Exhibition) held in El Jadida, Morocco, from 23rd to 27th November 2022.

In this framework, UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Enrico Siepi facilitated the participation in the exhibition of Dr. Luca Grillini, Manager at the Italian National Association of Producers of Recycled Aggregates (ANPAR) for the Italian Emilia-Romagna Region, who joined as panelist the conference session "Recovery and Management of Demolition Waste: Regulatory Aspects and Quantities (Case of Italy)" held in the afternoon of Friday 25th November within the context of the exhibition.

Furthermore, thanks to the support of UNIDO ITPO Italy, the Director of the Moroccan Technical Center of Building Materials (CETEMCO) Mr. Said Bouanani, the President of the Moroccan Federation of Industries of Building Materials (FMC) Mr. David Toledano, and Director of the Moroccan Federation of companies in Plasturgy (FMP) Dr. Nabil Saouaf, had the opportunity to meet with the ANPAR representative to discuss and address the national issue related to the management of construction waste - as per highlighted by the FIPEE project counterpart from Morocco, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development - towards the definition of upcoming joint activities.
