The “Italy-Kenya Business & Investment Forum on Geothermal” by UNIDO ITPO Italy will take place on Monday 27th March 2023 from 8:30 to 18:00 at the Kawi Complex Auditorium in Nairobi, Kenya.

Within the framework of the project “Fostering International Partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the Energy and Environment sectors” (#FIPEE) funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE), the Forum is organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Kenya, the Geothermal Association of Kenya (GAK) and Unione Geotermica Italiana (UGI) as a part of UNIDO ITPO Italy’s mission to Kenya for an Italian business and institutional delegation in the geothermal sector.

This one-day Forum will foresee two sessions:

• In the morning, the major Kenyan stakeholders in the field will deliver technical presentations about geothermal energy in Kenya, to provide the Italian delegation with a comprehensive overview of the sector illustrating its legal framework, main challenges and potential;
• In the afternoon, the Italian enterprises will introduce their innovative solutions and expertise to the Kenyan and international audience, paving the way for the following networking and B2B session, during which participants will have the opportunity to interact and discuss together opportunities for investment, business and collaborations.
