Stakeholders

The UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe, located in Venice (Italy), is the only UNESCO field office in the region with a specific mandate on programme development and implementation. Its task is to facilitate the advancement of the overall UNESCO programme through specialised as well as interdisciplinary actions in the field of culture and natural sciences, to foster sustainable development, dialogue, reconciliation, and cooperation, with special focus on South-East Europe and the Mediterranean basin.

The bureau includes an Antenna in Sarajevo, responsible for implementation of the activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It also supports the development and implementation of programmes and participation in UN development frameworks, in other countries of the region, as required. The bureau also has education expertise and hosts a component of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO dedicated to Ocean Literacy.

La Triennale di Milano is an international center that brings together all the languages of contemporary culture: design, fashion, architecture, urbanism, the visual arts, new media, photography, performance, theatre, dance, and music. It is a place where art and design, creativity and technology, tradition and innovation can converse.

The Triennale presents the projects of major architects, designers, and artists from both Italy and abroad. It organizes exhibitions, meetings, performances. It also offers new points of view on themes that lie at the very core of our society and public debate.

The Triennale is the only Italian cultural institution with its own large-scale theatre used to host international and multidisciplinary programs. It boasts a permanent collection of Italian design objects, a library, a historical archive, and a conservation lab specialized in contemporary art.

It also organizes every three years the Triennale International Exhibition, one of the world’s most important events devoted to design and architecture, revived in 2016 after a twenty-year hiatus. The XXII edition of the Triennale International Exhibition takes place from March 1 to September 1, 2019.

The Triennale is located in Milan's Palazzo dell’Arte, built in 1933 by the Milanese architect Giovanni Muzio, who designed the modular and flexible building so that it could be used to host major events as well as musical and theatre activities.

The University of Udine was founded in 1978 as part of the reconstruction plan of Friuli after the earthquake in 1976. Its aim was to provide the Friulian community with an independent centre for advanced training in cultural and scientific studies.

The University currently has the following degree programmes in: Agriculture, Economics, Engineering, Law, Modern Languages, Communication and Training, Humanities, Medicine and Surgery and Mathematics, Computer Science and Multimedia.

The University is actively involved in student and staff exchange projects with universities within the EU and is currently engaged in close collaboration with several universities from Eastern Europe and other non-EU countries. Moreover the University participates in many research projects at national and international level. The present number of students enrolled at the University is approx. 17000.

The National Office of Design (ONDi) was created on July 9, 1980 by the agreement of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers, with the aim of directing and organizing the design activity in the Country. It is an entity of the the Government's policy , and aims to propose, organize and execute  the rules  of the State policy on Industrial Design and visual communication.

The National Design Office has the mission to develop and value Design in Cuba  for  the industry, education and national culture with the aim of contributing to increase the efficiency  of the Country's organizations and thus, support the economic and culture  development of the Country.

The ONDi aims to consolidate and develop the value chain of knowledge   based on the high level of its specialists, the use of the most advanced techniques and technologies with the aim to enhance the socio-economic development of the Country at national and international level and to defend the Revolution.

Rizzani de Eccher is an Italian general contractor operating in the international construction market based in Udine, in the region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia of northeastern Italy.

The Group, originally established in 1831, was taken over by de Eccher family in 1970, and currently brings together a number of operating units in the areas of engineering, infrastructure and building construction and restoration, as well as property development.

As of today, Rizzani de Eccher is ranked among top five Italian contractors and in the world's 100 largest contractors rankings, employs approximately 3.000 people, and has completed and ongoing projects in over 60 countries.

From June 20 to 16, 2019, the second edition of the Havana Design Biennial (BDHabana 2019) will take place, a multiple exchange space that allows the public to approach design as a discipline and its environment.

Organized and promoted  by the National Design Office (ONDi), BDHabana 2019 will host , in many places in the  Cuban Capital, exhibition  events, as well as the workshops and conference.

The call is born and  based on the idea that design occupies an important place in contemporary creation.

In this direction it is essential to promote the soul in the Cuban reality and its relationship with Industry, Economy, Society and Culture, in such a way that it directly affects a feeling of well-being.

Under the concept "Beyond the form" and dedicated to the 500th Anniversary of Havana, this Second Edition will have as sub-offices the provinces of Camagüey and Santiago de Cuba.

BDHabana 2019 proposes a vision of design focused on the end user experience, fosters an environment where design as experience is synonymous with well-being, invites to think of the discipline as a creative process, stimulates the bond of senses and promotes authentic design.

Individuals or team members may participate, design professionals of Cuban or foreign nationality, directly or indirectly linked to offices or design offices, private companies, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, associations or groups of independent designers who have developed design projects significant as of May 2016.
