UNIDO ITPO Italy participated in Seeds&Chips 2018

Milan, 7-10 May 2018 - UNIDO ITPO Italy will participate again in the inspiring international event Seeds&Chips”, the Global Food Innovation Summit which will be held be held at MiCo, in Milan, from the 7th to 10th of May.

The Summit brings together some of the most influential actors and investors in the field of food innovation to share their best practices and technologies regarding the way food is produced, transformed, distributed, consumed and experienced. In 2017, Seeds&Chips welcomed 240 exhibitors, 15,800 qualified visitors and over 300 international speakers, such as Former USA President Barack Obama,.

This year Seeds&Chips is expected to confirm and strengthen its commitment, enriched by outstanding speakers, such as Howard Schultz–Executive Chairman of Starbucks and John F. Kerry – former U.S. Secretary of State.

UNIDO ITPO Italy will bring an even greater contribution to the fulfillment of the Summit’s ambitious goals.  The Office has acted as co-organizer of WaterFirst!,  an international competition aimed at identifying and awarding the most innovative solutions for Developing Countries in the field of water management.

Furthermore, UNIDO ITPO Italy will participate as speaker in an ad hoc conference “Innovation in Tradition for Sustainable Food System” organized in collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and other stakeholders such as FAO, Illy and ActionAid. 

Moreover, within the framework of our ongoing successful project Project “Support to Mozambique´s SMEs in Investment Promotion”, our Office is flattered to sponsor the first exhibiting booth at Seeds&Chips of an African delegation composed of agribusiness startups. Within the same context, it’s worth mentioning that UNIDO ITPO Italy will organize also the Official Visit in Italy of the Mozambican Vice Minister of Agriculture and Food Security HE Luisa Celma Meque.

As key brokers of knowledge sharing between developed and developing countries, UNIDO ITPO Italy and Seeds&Chips constitute a perfect collaboration to address global challenges regarding nutrition and technological innovation.
