With the goal of promoting Italian innovative technologies to boost the sustainability of the waste-to-energy sector in Kenya, on 26 January 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy organized and hosted a B2B meeting between Wanergy Africa Limited – a Kenyan company interested in exploring new solutions to be replicated and implemented in the local waste-to-energy section, especially in the field of mixed municipal solid waste – and W.T.E. Waste To Energy S.r.l., an Italian company providing a wide range of services, from conceptual and feasibility studies, to engineering, procurement and construction management.

The B2B meeting was arranged as part of a series of follow-up activities to the technical assistance and support provided by UNIDO ITPO Italy to Wanergy Africa Limited during their participation at the 2020 edition of Ecomondo, titled “Ecomondo and Key Energy Double Digital Green Week” and held online from 3 to 15 November 2020.

The initiative was organized in the framework of the project “Fostering International Partnership between companies and/or institutions operating in energy and environment sectors”, funded by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
