UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia joined as speaker the closing conference of MediterranEU 2021 - the programme organized by Rumundu and dedicated to youth and innovation - which was broadcasted live on 30 April.

Every year, in the framework of the programme, Rumundu supports the education of youths from the World House of Rondine with the goal of promoting concrete actions and projects for development in their respective home countries, as well as the education of several youths from the Italian Sardinia region.

The online event, during which many youths of the World House presented their own stories and current projects, also featured the interventions of many experts in the field of sustainable development, including Deputy Minister for Economic Development Ms. Alessandra Todde who introduced the Smarter Italy project aimed at improving the living conditions of people through the experimentation and field tests of emerging technological solutions, illustrating the next steps and activities of the Interministerial Committee for Ecological Transition.
