On 26th May 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy participated as speaker in the digital Warm-Up session of the Industrial Valve Summit 2022, with UNIDO ITPO Italy's Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Andrea Carapellese illustrating the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - Phase II" implemented by UNIDO and funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.

The intervention focused on the multiple services provided by UNIDO ITPO Italy in the framework of the project, aimed at promoting investments and technology transfer through multi-stakeholder partnerships between the Iraqi and the Italian public and private sectors for job creation and economic growth within the country, also highlighting the potential of the local oil and gas sector in terms of sustainability. 

In light of its long-standing collaboration with IVS since 2017, UNIDO ITPO Italy concluded reiterating its commitment alongside Confindustria Bergamo to arrange the participation of a selected delegation of Iraqi operators in the Industrial Valve Summit 2022.
