Farmcrowdy at the HLPF 2021

In the framework of the 2021 edition of the World Food Forum, the winner of UNIDO ITPO Italy 2019 International Award in Agribusiness Onyeka Akumah, founder of Farmcrowdy - joined as speaker the side-event panel session of the High-Level Political Forum by FAO titled "HLPF side-event on youth and agri-food systems transformation", which took place online on 14 July 2021.

The World Food Forum is an independent global network created for and led by youth to spark a movement to transform our global food systems and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - especially “zero hunger”, in full alignment with the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit.

In this context, the side-event was aimed at giving youth a platform to engage in a dialogue with Member States, the UN Systems and other stakeholders, proposing ideas to deliver on the goals of agri-food systems transformation and building back our societies and economies post-COVID-19.
