In the framework of the 2021 edition of the World Food Forum, the winner of UNIDO ITPO Italy 2019 International Award in Agribusiness - Onyeka Akumah, founder of Farmcrowdy - joined as speaker the side-event panel session of the High-Level Political Forum by FAO titled "HLPF side-event on youth and agri-food systems transformation", which took place online on 14 July 2021.
The World Food Forum is an independent global network created for and led by youth to spark a movement to transform our global food systems and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) - especially “zero hunger”, in full alignment with the 2021 United Nations Food Systems Summit.
In this context, the side-event was aimed at giving youth a platform to engage in a dialogue with Member States, the UN Systems and other stakeholders, proposing ideas to deliver on the goals of agri-food systems transformation and building back our societies and economies post-COVID-19.
