In the framework of the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - phase II" (IPI), on 2 September 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy met with FEMOZA in order to discuss how to support the development of Industrial Zones in Iraq.

Established in 1999 and based in Geneva, FEMOZA is the World Free & Special Economic Zones Federation, also granted by UNIDO with the status of Observer.

The meeting paved the way for future collaboration activities within the framework of the output II of the IPI project, starting from the planning of an official presentation of the association for the benefit of the High-Level Commission for Industrial Zones of the Iraqi Government.
