On 27 September 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy organized and held an online meeting with H.E. Mr. Samuel Otsile Outlule, Ambassador of Botswana to the Kingdom of Belgium and mission to the European Union accredited to the Republic of Italy, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The meeting was held on the occasion to brief the Ambassador on the FIPEE Call for High Impact Cleantech launched by UNIDO ITPO Italy, as well as on the entrepreneurial and institutional delegation organized by UNIDO ITPO Italy within the framework of the 2021 Ecomondo and Key Energy Exhibition. Six selected Botswana companies, together with the Special Advisor of the President of the Republic of Botswana for environmental agenda, are expected to participate in the event to promote business partnership and policy dialogue.

Furthermore, special emphasis has been accorded to the visit of Botswana Minister of Industry and Trade to the World Manufacturing Forum (which will take place on 20 and 21 October 2021 in Cernobbio, Italy) as well as to the meeting between the Head of UNIDO ITPO Italy Ms. Diana Battaggia and Dr. Lemogang Kwape, Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation of Botswana, on the occasion of the III Italy-Africa Ministerial Conference, which will be attended by the Ambassador himself and take place on 7-8 October 2021 in Rome.
