On 23rd September 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia and Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Andrea Carapellese visited the Italian company ZERO Vertical Farms, one of the most innovative production plants for aeroponic systems in Italy, also meeting with the CEO of ZERO Vertical Farms Mr. Daniele Modesto.

ZERO Vertical Farms has created a modular industrial system to build vertical farms able to reduce timeframes and costs of production, while increasing production efficiency, product range and overall quality in comparison with traditional greenhouses.

“Our long-term goal”, according to project developers at ZERO Vertical Farms , “is to to make vertical-farming products accessible to everyone”. This paves the way for numerous opportunities regarding the possibility of implementing aeroponics technology in several developing countries assisted by UNIDO and ITPO Italy.
