In the framework of the project "Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors" (FIPEE), on 5 October 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy facilitated a meeting between Inversiones GAMMA Cuba and the Institute of Marine Engineering (CNR Italy).

The meeting - which saw the participation of: UNIDO ITPO Italy's Chief Technical Advisor Mr. Dino Fortunato and Expert in Energy and Environment for Cuba Mr. Ernesto Rivera Perez; Mr. Alexander Mena Espinosa, Director of the Trade and Environmental Division at Inversiones GAMMA SA; and Mr. Francesco Salvatore, Marine Renewable Energy Lab at the Institute of Marine Engineering - aimed to evaluate potential cooperation and possible synergies on energy and environment with regards to marine renewable energy sources in Cuba.
