On 25th October 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy hosted a multilateral meeting with representatives of the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition and partner countries of the project "Fostering International Partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors" (FIPEE).

The delegation of institutional representatives from FIPEE partner countries was composed of: Prof. Julius Atlhopheng, Advisor to the Government of Botswana; Dr. Jesús Guerra Bell from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba; Mr. Kasahun Wakoya Nikusa from the Environment, Forest and Climate Change Commission of Ethiopia; Mr. Mansur Oshurbayev from the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan; and Mr. Tom Maruti from the Ministry of Energy of Kenya.

The Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition (MiTE) was represented by Mr. Angiolo Martinelli – Director of Division III - International environmental cooperation CRESS, Officers Mr. Felice Cappelluti and Mr. Paolo Angelini, and Technical Assistants Mr. Salvatore D’Angelo, Ms. Cecilia Erba, Mr. Ernesto Fino, Ms. Bruna Kohan and Ms. Delaram Saman.

Opening with the welcome remarks of UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia and Mr. Angiolo Martinelli, the meeting featured an update regarding the project status and progress by Ms. Valentina Maltese, UNIDO ITPO Italy's FIPEE Coordinator, followed by the presentation of UNIDO ITPO Italy's Special Advisors, and a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings between the MiTE and country counterparts facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy, in order to explore new synergies and discuss together future activities within the framework of the project.
