On 17 December 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy met with the Moroccan Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, in order to present the main features of the project "Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors" (FIPEE) and discuss the agenda of activities to be implemented in 2022, as a kick-off for the implementation of the FIPEE project within the country.

During the meeting - attended by Ms. Valentina Maltese and Mr. Enrico Siepi, respectively UNIDO ITPO Italy's FIPEE Project Coordinator and Investment Promotion Expert for Morocco, Secretariat of State in Charge of Sustainable Development Mr. Rachid Firadi and Head of International Cooperation Division Ms. Nassyra Rehyati - special emphasis was dedicated to granting cooperation activities between Moroccan and Italian companies operating in the sectors of waste management, disposal of inert and construction material.

In this sense, the Kingdom of Morocco can be considered as an example at international level for its commitment to adopt the most advanced technologies, policies and standards in the field of renewable energy and environment.
