Within the framework of the FIPEE project funded by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition, on 20 January 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy organized a B2B meeting between Champs Botswana (Pty) Ltd and the Italian company Salvadori Srl, with the aim of promoting technology transfer between the Botswanan and Italian private sector operating in the environment and clean energy sectors.

Champs Botswana, a waste-to-energy business and first in the country to own a pyrolysis plant, is searching for innovative technologies to process and re-use exhausted giant tires in order to increase the production capacity of its waste-to-energy plant.

The meeting allowed the Botswanan company to access full details on cutting-edge technology applied to waste management provided by Salvadori, and paved the way for further negotiations between the two companies.
