UNIDO ITPO Italy participated in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Day held on 25th February 2022 at the Italian Pavilion of Expo 2020 Dubai.

In this framework, UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia joined the panel session with an intervention “Promoting investment and technology through partnerships and innovation”, and also met with several local institutional representatives, among which Governor of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region Mr. Massimiliano Fedriga, and President of AdSPMAO – Port Network Authority of the Eastern Adriatic Sea Mr. Zeno D'Agostino.

UNIDO ITPO Italy also contributed to the organization of the panel by facilitating the participation of Mr. Namir Hourani, Organising Committee Member and Managing Director of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit (GMIS), the joint initiative by UNIDO and the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates.

Alongside the conference, UNIDO ITPO Italy organized and facilitated multiple B2B meetings between a business delegation of companies from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in the field of research, development and innovation and local counterparts, fostering synergies and opportunities for collaborations within the framework of the project "Innovation Bridge Trieste - Dubai 2020".
