On 17th March 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy organized and participated in the meeting with representatives of the Universidad Católica de Santa María (UCSM) of Arequipa and the University of Salerno (UNISA).

The meeting — facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy Special Advisor for Energy and Environment in Peru, Mr. Andrea Pavia — was notably attended by Ms. Elizabeth Bejarano and Mr. Luigi Rizzo, Professors respectively at UCSM and UNISA.

Supported by the participation of Biotec Srl and EBM Consultora Empresarial y Ambiental, the meeting was aimed at evaluating opportunities for collaboration between universities in the field of research for environmental projects, paving the way for potential further synergies. 

The activity was part of the project “Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors” (#FIPEE) funded by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
