Within the framework of the project “Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors” (#FIPEE), on 11th April 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy managed an online B2B meeting between Solar World Botswana Pty Ltd and Layer Electronics Srl.

Solar World is a Botswanan women-led business specialized in solar products distribution and installation, whose target market includes commercial and residential facilities that are currently resorting to solar. Layer Electronics is a leading Italian company in the manufacturing of industrial products for renewable energies - such as industrial UPSs, frequency converters, electronic and saturated iron voltage stabilizers, electronic network conditioners, solar and wind inverters, wind generators up to 20 kW, charge controllers, power stations, rescuers, cathodic protection power supplies, DC/DC converters, and anything else the customer's specific needs may require.

The meeting between representatives of the two companies — facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Enrico Siepi and Special Advisor in Energy and Environment for Botswana Ms. Onneetse Ndadi — was extremely useful as companies started to exchange information on incoming projects and commercialization of products to evaluate the possibility to sign a commercial distribution agreement in the future.
