On 6th May 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy joined the 2022 edition of Macfrut, the fruit&veg exhibition held in Rimini, Italy, by assisting the participation in the fair of 6 Somali companies operating in the field — namely, Somfresh, SLPM, JIADCO, Green Hope, Gabyow, and Agro-Som.

Furthermore, UNIDO ITPO Italy’s Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Francesco Pallocca joined as panelist the workshop Somalia organized within the framework of the fair, to introduce the delegation and present business opportunities in the country for investment and technology transfer in sectors of interest.

UNIDO Somalia was also present at Macfrut 2022 and featured its own ad-hoc booth, fostering in-person meetings with potential local and international partners.

This activity was organized in the framework of the project “Agro-technology development for economic growth in South and Central Somalia”, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO.
