On Thursday 19th May 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in the concluding event of the Africa Business Lab, organized by ITA - Italian Trade Agency, held within the framework of Codeway Expo 2022 in Rome, Italy.

UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Francesco Pallocca joined the panel session together with the following speakers from relevant participating institutional stakeholders: Mr. Marco Pintus, Head of Educational Services at ICE; Ms. Letizia Pizzi, Director General of Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo; Ms. Mariangela Siciliano, Head of SACE Education; Mr. Aldo Cera, Senior Officer from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS); Mr. Massimo Zaurrini, Director of Africa & Affari; Mr. Fabio Santoni, Mr. Enrico Turoni, and Mr. Fabio Iannone of the Faculty ICE.

Attended by around 30 Italian companies, the event was organized as an in-person follow up to the past two episodes of Africa Business Lab held in March 2022 on agribusiness and energy, which both saw the participation of UNIDO ITPO Italy among the panelists. The occasion was also fruitful to connect two training programmes by ICE: Africa Business Lab, dedicated to Italian companies interested in the African markets, and Lab Innova for Africa, dedicated to SMEs from the African continent interested to engage with Italian and international companies.
