On 26th January 2024, the first-ever United Nations International Day of Clean Energy, UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in the Model United Nations conference “Future We Want: A Global Initiative for Young Leaders” organized by the Italian Diplomatic Academy and the World Council for Youth and Diplomacy.

During the event — which notably featured the high-level participation of numerous Excellencies and Ambassadors among its speakers, together with young students from international schools in the audience — UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Diana Battaggia joined the session among the first panelists to highlight the key role played by UNIDO ITPO Italy in implementing promotional activities supporting youths, students and young entrepreneurs — among others, the scouting of early-stage innovators, vocational training and capacity building activities, for the upgrade of skills and their access to the global scenario.

The occasion also represented a good opportunity to quickly brief with His Excellency Ambassador of Iraq to Italy Saywan Barzani, with regards to the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - Phase II" (#IPI), funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
