Within the framework of its “YES! Call 2023 - Sustainable Innovative Solutions from FVG Region”, UNIDO ITPO Italy organized a study tour for the selected young innovators to Manama, Bahrain, on the occasion of the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum (WEIF) 2024.

This initiative was part of the project "Boosting institutional partnerships for youth engagement in sustainable innovation", financed by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy in collaboration with the University of Trieste and its Contamination Lab (C-Lab).

After visiting the University of Bahrain, at WEIF the young delegates had the opportunity to network with peer innovators from all over the world, as well as to pitch on-stage their disruptive ideas for sustainable projects, which were notably congratulated also by UNIDO Managing Director Fatou Haidara.
