Rimini, Italy - 20th - 25th August 2024
UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in the Meeting Rimini, held in Rimini, Italy, from 20th to 25th August 2024. A global event attended by prominent representatives from both national and international governments, NGOs, politics, economics, and civil society, gathering to discuss and exchange ideas for the benefit of cooperation and shared development.
For the 45th edition of Meeting Rimini – held under the theme “If we are not looking for the essential, what are we looking for?” – UNIDO displayed an ad hoc space in the pavilion of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), an area dedicated to international actors collaborating with Italy to promote development cooperation.
UNIDO ITPO Italy was featured within the UNIDO stand – focusing on its projects supporting coffee value chains in Africa – among the multiple initiatives of development cooperation between UNIDO and Italy, showcasing the impactful outcomes of its latest projects on agribusiness, energy, and environment in African countries.
Antonio Tajani, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, notably visited the UNIDO stand during Meeting Rimini and shook hands in congratulation with ITPO Italy’s Head, Diana Battaggia.
“The longstanding relationship and cooperation between UNIDO and Italy is embodied by its Investment and Technology Promotion Office in Rome,” comments Battaggia: “a collaboration we are eager to continue nurturing and strengthening in the years to come, always in line with the mandate of UNIDO and the strategic priorities of the Italian Government”.
