Building on UNIDO ITPO Italy's long-standing engagement in enhancing economic growth and fostering a sustainable private sector in Iraq through targeted support and capacity-building efforts, the UNIDO Thi Qar Enterprise Development Center (EDC) organized a seminar on July 7th in response to a request from the Businesswomen Center of Nasiriyah in the Iraqi province of Thi Qar.

Held in the Nasiriyah Chamber of Commerce conference hall, the seminar brought together over 30 businesswomen, female entrepreneurs, NGOs, and media representatives, and was aimed to enhance collaboration with the Businesswomen Center and introduce businesswomen to the various opportunities, services, and programs offered by UNIDO and the Thi Qar EDC. This support will assist them in obtaining the necessary guidance to ambitiously initiate or expand their projects while overcoming potential challenges and obstacles.

This initiative was part of the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - Phase II" (#IPI), funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
