Agrifood Sustainability for Iraq - The Marketing Challenge

UNIDO ITPO Italy and the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability (EIIS) have launched the “Agrifood Sustainability for Iraq - The Marketing Challenge” Program, an exciting opportunity for professionals and businesses in Iraq's agrifood industry.

The Program will guide understanding new sustainability trends in the food sector and how to communicate them effectively. Using a project-based approach, participants will learn to address local marketing challenges by developing practical solutions that integrate sustainability into marketing strategies for products and services in Iraq.

1st Phase: Virtual Training

40 participants will be selected for a one-module, asynchronous online program, to learn about new sustainability trends in the food sector through a project-based approach with experts of EIIS.

2nd Phase: Hackathon

20 participants will be chosen for a 3-day hackathon in Baghdad, where they’ll tackle real-world challenges and develop marketing plans for new products and services for a real local company and present it to the Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI).

Who Should Apply?

  • Small and medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, startups, and staff from the IFI
