Philippines, March 18th 2015.  The project for the promotion of economic and commercial opportunities between the Philippines and Italy, financed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE), and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy proceeds successfully.

In this context, the representatives of ITPO Italy and MISE attended the business forum on agricultural machinery, organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines and held in Manila. The meeting was attended by several Italian producers in this sector, which are coordinated by the Italian Federation of agricultural machinery builders (FederUnacoma).

During the forum, UNIDO ITPO Italy presented the project, as well as next incoming missions focused in food processing and packaging, and agricultural machinery.

The event was enriched by the participation of the Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sen. Benedetto Della Vedova, who confirmed the interest of Italy for the Philippine market.

Several stakeholders of the Asian Country showed interest for the initiatives carried out by the UN Agency. In the forthcoming days the staff of ITPO Italy and the representatives of MISE will meet other Philippines counterparts which are interested in the growth of the Islands' agro-industry.
