UNIDO ITPO Italy’s “FVG - UAE Business Days” in Dubai, United Arab Emirates took successfully place on 24th and 25th February 2022, assisting a business delegation form the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region in 2 days of institutional visits and B2B meetings with local stakeholders in the field of research, development and innovation.

On the first day, UNIDO ITPO Italy supported the business delegation to visit the University of Dubai (UD), the Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), the Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) and the Dubai Design District (d3), exploring synergies and opportunities for collaboration. On the second day, the delegates of the FVG companies individually took part in several B2B meetings with local companies, organized and facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy at the Italian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The initiative was organized within the framework of the project “Innovation Bridge Trieste - Dubai 2020” funded by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Italian Region and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy. The objective of the project is to establish contacts among innovators from local and foreign companies, institutions and academia, thus facilitating the exchange of best practices and knowledge-sharing, as well as the creation of new partnerships and dynamic industry events.
