On 27 August 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia participated as panelist in "Expo 2020: Beyond Empowering Women", the event organized by the UAE Embassy in Italy in cooperation with the Professional Women’s Association (PWA) Rome on the occasion of the Emirati Women's Day 2021.

The event was aimed at promoting gender equality by highlighting the inspiring model of Expo 2020 Dubai that beautifully reflects the UAE’s vision to empower women, with half of Expo’s workforce and 65 per cent of all UAE National hires at Expo 2020 Dubai being women, including persons of determination.
