On 18 December 2020 UNIDO ITPO Italy organized a B2B meeting between Wanergy Africa Limited and the Italian engineering company MORE for the Planet, with the goal of promoting investment opportunities for Italian companies in the environmental technology sector of Kenya.

Wanergy Africa Limited is a Kenyan company interested in exploring innovative solutions to be replicated and implemented in the local waste-to-energy section, especially in the field of mixed municipal solid waste. 

The B2B meeting was arranged as part of a series of follow-up activities to the technical assistance and support provided by UNIDO ITPO Italy to Wanergy Africa Limited during their participation at the 2020 edition of Ecomondo, titled “Ecomondo and Key Energy Double Digital Green Week” and held online from 3 to 15 November 2020.

The initiative was organized in the framework of the project “Fostering International Partnership between companies and/or institutions operating in energy and environment sectors”, funded by the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
