From 10 to 12 June 2025, UNIDO ITPO Italy joined the UNIDO ITPO Heads Meeting held in Shanghai, China, hosted by UNIDO ITPO Shanghai and joined by all UNIDO ITPOs worldwide.

During the various meeting sessions, focus of discussions was about the challenges, successes and collaborations among UNIDO ITPOs. Among the themes also the upcoming UNIDO General Conference, which will take place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the key role to be played within by investment promotion.

The meeting also represented an opportunity to inaugurate the new UNIDO ITPO Shanghai premises, made available by the Pudong Municipality, and to take part in the 11th edition of the China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair. Notably, the event featured a UNIDO booth and a dedicated panel on the role and contribution of ITPOs, held on the occasion of the 2025 UNIDO Day on 12 June. During her speech, UNIDO ITPO Italy’s Head Ms. Diana Battaggia highlighted successful experiences from Italy in promoting the integration of female entrepreneurship and industrial innovation.
