On 4th August 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy met with Botswana Innovation Hub, the most prominent institution of the country specialized in the training and scale-up of startups and wannabe-entrepreneurs, in the framework of the FIPEE project "Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions in the energy and environment sectors" funded by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.

Notably, the discussion saw the partecipation of UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert, Mr. Enrico Siepi; Innovation and Technology Coordinator of Botswana Innovation Hub Mr. Tshukudu, on behalf of the Acting CEO Mr. Budzanani Tacheba; Ms. Kelebogile N. Kgathi, Economic Officer of the Embassy of Botswana in Brussels; and Ms. Onneetse Ndadi, Expert in energy and environment and new UNIDO ITPO Italy focal point in the country.

The meeting, that was aimed at disseminating information on the component number one of FIPEE project - "Providing technical assistance to identify and develop high-impact innovations and investment projects in SMEs in the sustainable energy and environment sector" - can be thus considered a veritable success, in light of the synergies between UNIDO ITPO Italy and Botswana Innovation Hub to favour the growth and the commercialization at international level of clean energy and environmental technologies and solutions made in Botswana.
