On 15 October 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in and hosted - both online and at its premises in Rome - the roundtable “Social responsibility, Company reputation and International Cooperation”, organized by Diplomacy Festival in the framework of its XII edition held from 13 to 22 October 2021.

Opening with the welcome remarks of UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia and moderated by Mr. Marco Marzano, Special Advisor at the International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD), this panel session saw the interventions of several relevant speakers from the international arena: Ms. Claudia Laricchia, Head of Institutional Relations and Global Strategic Partnerships at Future Food Institute; Mr. Raffaele Maiorano, Sustainability and SDGs Manager at Confagricoltura; Ms. Grazia Sgarra, Head of Development Cooperation Actors, Partnerships and Financial Tools at the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS); Ms. Allegra Saitto, Chief of Financial Reporting & Corporate Finance at IFAD; Mr. Francesco Confuorti, President of Advantage Green; and Mr. Valerio Salomone; Lawyer and Expert in international projects.

The roundtable facilitated a discussion on the economic and social impact of corporate responsibility of SMEs, non-profit and multinational companies, highlighting the key role of international cooperation in order to address these issues towards global sustainable development and the United Nations 2030 Agenda.
