On 14 October 2021 UNIDO ITPO Italy hosted an introductory meeting between the Italian company Aster Srl and the Ethiopian company Tapanta Depot Trading Plc.

This session - facilitated by UNIDO ITPO Italy's Investment Promotion Expert Ms. Ester Temperato and UNIDO ITPO Italy's Expert in Energy and Environment for Ethiopia Mr. Fasil Abate Hagos - saw the participation of Mr. Antonino Principato, CEO of Aster Srl, and Mr. Daniel Kebede and Mr. Tsegaye Woldetensay, respectively Director General and Deputy Director General of Tapanta Depot Trading Plc.

The discussion focused on drip irrigation systems and how to make an efficient use of water in agriculture, paving the way for potential synergies in the framework of the project "Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors" (FIPEE), funded by the Italian Ministry of Ecological Transition and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
