UNIDO ITPO Italy facilitated the participation of H.E. Ms. Suha Dawood Elias Najjar, Chairwoman of the Iraqi National Investment Commission, to the 2021 edition of the World Manufacturing Forum, which was held in Cernobbio, Italy, on 20 and 21 October 2021.

H.E. Ms. Najjar joined as panelist the second session "People and Policies as Enablers for Long-Term Resilience" of the first day of the World Manufacturing Forum. "Manufacturing is the best vaccine that we have —  but, for Iraq, the bloodline is industrialization" commented H.E. Ms. Najjar.

On the sideline of the conference, within the event H.E. Ms. Najjar had the opportunity to meet with H.E. Ms. Safia Taleb Al-Souhail, Ambassador of Iraq to Italy; Mr. Fabrizio Sala, Regional Minister for Education, University, Research, Innovation of the Lombardia Region; and Mr. Carlo Ferro, President of ICE - Italian Trade Agency.

The participation of H.E. Ms. Najjar in the World Manufacturing Forum 2021 was organized within the framework of the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - Phase II" funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
