On Friday 18th March 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy hosted a virtual company visit of the Ethiopian company “Green Days Industry PLC”, operating in the field of waste management and waste-to-energy since 2012, extracting pyrolysis oil, carbon black and steel wire from waste plastics and rubber and now looking for cutting-edge technologies and solutions to further advance the innovation and development of its industrial plant.

Moderated by Ms. Ester Temperato, UNIDO ITPO Italy’s Investment Promotion Expert for Ethiopia, the company visit featured the participation of Mr. Ahmed Adem and Mr. Amos Sang, respectively CEO and CFO of Green Days, who had the opportunity to introduce their business to selected Italian companies operating in the field of renewable energy and waste management — namely, CIE Tecnologia Ambientale, EEMAXX Engineering, REP Italia Srl, SAEC and Sfera S.p.A. The companies had in turn the opportunity to also introduce themselves, to engage in a Q&A session with the Ethiopian company and start discussing together opportunities for business, paving the way for potential future collaborations.

This initiative was organised within the framework of the project “Fostering international partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the energy and environment sectors” (#FIPEE) funded by the Italian Ministry of Environmental Transition and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
