TVC: “Principles of manufacturing and processing of whole peeled and diced tomatoes in cans”

On 8th September 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy supported and took part in the webinar “Principles of manufacturing and processing of whole peeled and diced tomatoes in cans”, organized in the framework of the “Inclusive and Sustainable Development of the Tomato Value Chain in Egypt” (TVC) project.

Opened with the welcome remarks of UNIDO National Project Coordinator Dr. Omar Abdin, UNIDO ITPO Italy Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Francesco Pallocca, and Director General of Confindustria Assafrica & Mediterraneo Ms. Letizia Pizzi, the webinar featured presentations of several Italian expert companies in the field who joined the webinar as panelists. Among these: Mr. Paolo Mombelloni and Mr. Marco Meli, respectively Founder and Expert in tomato processing operations at 4food&PARTNERS; Mr. Antonio Perizzi, Export Manager at CTF SpaMr. Rocco Cancellaro, Export Manager at Cavalieri Spa; and Mr. Celso Bedogni, Sales Director of Navatta Group.

Concluded after an insightful Q&A session, during which participants had the opportunity to pose directly questions to the panelists and further the debate on specific topics of interest, the webinar successfully allowed to promote the transfer of knowledge and best practices, fostering international collaborations between Italy and Egypt in the field of tomato value chain.
