On 6th September 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Ms. Diana Battaggia and Investment Promotion Expert Mr. Andrea Carapellese visited the premises in Vicenza of the Regional Association of Beekeepers of Veneto and met with President Mr. Gerardo Meridio, as well as with Mr. Luigi Zanin, Head of the Direction for International Cooperation of Regione Veneto.

The visit was organized in light of an upcoming joint initiative for the benefit of selected communities from the Province of Cuando Cubango, in Angola — which will foresee training activities, know-how exchange and technology transfer with a focus on beekeeping, as well as on related sectors including renewable energy, agricultural machineries, water and forest management.

Such initiative will also allow to explore potential collaborations with the Italian private sector in the field, paving the way for value-added products to access international markets and therefore support local expertise for inclusive and sustainable industrial development.
