From 8^th to 11^th November 2022 UNIDO ITPO Italy coordinated and assisted on site a study tour for the Vice President of the National Institute of Water Resources of Cuba (INRH), Mr. Bladimir Matos Moya, across several Italian cities.

The study tour kicked off in Rome at the Italian Water Research Institute of the National Research Council (CNR IRSA), discussing opportunities from the use and recycling of wastewater and the recovery of energy and useful by-products. Within the framework of UNIDO ITPO Italy’s participation in the 2022 edition of Ecomondo in Rimini, the delegate had the opportunity to meet several relevant stakeholders in the field – including Acquedotto Pugliese, CNR Bari, I-Wtech, and more. Finally, the study tour concluded with site visits at A2A Ciclo Idrico in Brescia and Centro Sperimentale del Latte in Lodi, to learn more about the advanced wastewater treatment and water reuse, especially in the agricultural sector.
