The event “Let's rethink the future: operational proposals for sustainable development” organized by the Embassy of Italy to the Holy See in collaboration with UNIDO ITPO Italy took place on 11th May 2023 at the Embassy premises in Rome, and was promoted by the Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development (ASviS) within the framework of its 2023 Sustainable Development Festival.

Opening with the welcome institutional remarks of His Excellency the Ambassador Francesco Di Nitto and UNIDO ITPO Italy Head Diana Battaggia, the event was moderated by Carlo Marroni from Il Sole 24 Ore and saw the institutional remarks of Marco Giungi, Head of Unit for strategies and global multilateral processes of development cooperation at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Matteo Rizzoli from Libera Università Maria Santissima Assunta (LUMSA) University and Member of the scientific Committee of the Event “The Economy of Francesco”.

Furthermore, the event saw the success cases of several representatives of the private sector actively involved in driving sustainability through different tangible initiatives: among these, Roberto Coin, President of Roberto Coin SpA; Sara Roversi, President of Future Food Institute; Elodia Gagliese and Daniela Ropolo, Sustainability Managers respectively at Acquedotto Pugliese and CNH Industrial.
