From 24 to 26 July 2023, UNIDO ITPO Italy supported the mission to Rome, Italy of a UNIDO Delegation led by Gunther Beger, UNIDO Managing Director for SDG Innovation and Economic Transformation, on the occasion of his participation at the United Nations Food Systems Summit +2 - Stocktacking Moment (UNFSS 2023).

MD Beger took part in the Summit held at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as panelist during the event conference "Healthy Diets, Cultures and Traditions: Lessons from the Mediterranean Diet" and Leadership Dialogue "FoodSystems for shared prosperity: achieving equitable, inclusive and sustainable economic prosperity in food systems and rural development".

On the sidelines of the UNFSS 2023 — where UNIDO featured its ad-hoc booth, also attended by ITPO Italy — MD Beger visited the premises of UNIDO ITPO Italy, that also provided its support to the MD on the occasions of his different meetings with relevant representatives of FAO, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), World Food Programme (WFP) and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
