UNIDO ITPO Italy took part in the round table “Fishery and Aquaculture: sustainability and international cooperation” which was organized by Federpesca in collaboration with Federazione del Mare and Planet Diplomacy and held in Rome on 15th September 2023.

The roundtable notably featured the presence of representatives of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), FAO, IFAD, Italian Trade Agency (ICE), Cluster Big, Luiss Business School, as well as representatives of numerous Embassies to Italy - South Africa, Oman, Spain, Malta, Thailand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Mozambique, Australia and Angola - as well as several companies and startups in the field.

In this context, UNIDO ITPO Italy’s Chief Technical Advisor Dino Fortunato joined the roundtable as panelist, illustrating the projects and activities carried out by UNIDO ITPO Italy to foster international cooperation for a sustainable development of fishery, aquaculture and blue economy, with a special focus on the upcoming Somalia Economic Conference - Italy Edition.
