In the framework of the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - Phase II", financed by the Italian Agency Development Cooperation, UNIDO ITPO Italy facilitated the participation of Ms. Al-Hawra Talal Abdulhamed, Iraqi UNIDO Local Coordinator of the Enterprise Development Center Thi Qar, in the Award Ceremony of the 5th edition of the Women Event International Award - held on 21st September 2023 at the Sala Protomoteca of Capitoline Hill in Rome, Italy - when she was awarded by UNIDO ITPO Italy Head and jury member Ms. Diana Battaggia under the category "Industrial Development".

In addition during the ceremony, Ms. Battaggia also delivered the Women Event International Award to Her Excellency Ms. Mirta Aurora Granda Avernhoff, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Cuba to Italy, under the "Diplomacy" category, in light of the strong collaboration relation between UNIDO ITPO Italy and the Cuban Government.

The Women Event International Award, organized by the Evento Donna Association, aims to award women and men who have contributed to female empowerment in various fields of enterprise: institutional and social, artistic and cultural, journalistic and literary, television and radio, cinema and theatre, inclusive and equal opportunities, research and medicine, fashion and sport, green and new generation.
