From 30 October through 3 November 2023, the Winners of UNIDO ITPO Italy’s “FIPEE Call for High Impact Cleantech” joined the UNIDO GCIP Cleantech Days and the International Vienna Energy and Climate Forum (IVECF) in Vienna, Austria.

Starting the week with the Opening Ceremony of the GCIP Cleantech Days, the winners from Cuba, Ethiopia, Kenya and Peru joined a training for entrepreneurs held by Siemens in Siemens City, during which they played the “Sustainability Game” by Siemens in order to promote cleantech and circular-economy business models in an innovative, dynamic way.

After a pitch training session, on 1st November the delegates had the opportunity to perform a pitch about the sustainable competitive advantages of their innovative cleantech solutions to a jury of experts selected by UNIDO.

At IVECF, on 2nd and 3rd November, all Winners took part in the session “Connecting the dots to empower cleantech innovations & climate solutions”. Notably, the Winner from Kenya Norah Magero, Co-Founder & CEO of Drop Access, also joined as panelist the sessions “Showcase of thematic solutions by women changemakers” and “Pathways to prosperity and climate neutrality”.

This initiative was organized in the framework of the project “Fostering International Partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the Energy and Environment sectors”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE) and implemented by UNIDO ITPO Italy.
