On 7th November 2023, within the context of the 2023 edition of Ecomondo - The Green Technology Expo in Rimini, UNIDO ITPO Italy held its "2nd FIPEE Investment Forum on Energy & Environment", as a milestone event towards the conclusion of the activities implemented within the framework of the project "Fostering International Partnerships between companies and/or institutions operating in the Energy and Environment sectors" (#FIPEE), funded by the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (MASE).

Opened by UNIDO ITPO Italy's FIPEE Project Coordinator Ms. Valentina Maltese and moderated by UNIDO ITPO Italy's Chief Technical Advisor Mr. Dino Fortunato, the panel session featured the participation as speakers of: Ms. Carmen Cristina Terry Berro, Specialist Expert in Environmental Policies at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba (CITMA); Ms. Tirhas Mebrahtu Hindeya, Director for Resource Mobilization and Project Monitoring Directorate at the Ethiopian Environmental Protection Authority; Ms. Zhuzim Daulet, Chief of the Waste management department at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan; Mr. Benedict Muyale, Senior Resource Mobilization Officer at National Environment Trust Fund (NETFUND) of Kenya; and Mr. David Toledano, Président of the Moroccan Federation of Industries and Building Materials (FMC). The panel concluded with the closing remarks of Mr. Jacopo Betti from the project donor MASE, notably also attending the event.

The Forum represented an opportunity to showcase the results of the FIPEE project, highlight the latest policies on energy and environment currently in place in each partner country, and further foster the development of business synergies, also thanks to UNIDO ITPO Italy's wide ministerial, institutional and business delegation from the project’s 7 partner countries at Ecomondo 2023.
