On 22nd March 2024, in the framework of the project "Investment Promotion for Iraq - Phase II", a periodic seminar was held in Basra in collaboration with the UNIDO Enterprise Development Center (EDC) in Basra and under the custody of the Iraqi Federation of Industries (IFI) and in coordination with the Basra Chamber of Industry (BCI).

Attended by IFI Chairman, members from Basra Chamber of Commerce, Businessmen Union and local industrialists, the seminar was aimed at supporting the local industrial private sector and discussing synergies for public-private partnerships with governmental institutions such as the Basra local government and Ministry of Industry. Another goal was to facilitate the procedures of offering services and benefits, to encourage Iraqi products besides push the march of economic development taking the advantage of EDC activities.
