At the 2024 edition of Macfrut – held from 8th to 10th May in Rimini, Italy – UNIDO ITPO Italy took part by assisting on site an entrepreneurial delegation from Iraq, also thanks to the UNIDO ITPO Italy's ad hoc booth present at the fair.

The Iraqi delegation was composed of buyers operating in the agritech and agribusiness sectors – in particular in the field of tomatoes, dates, beans, hydroponics and greenhouses – interested in meeting their Italian counterparts to discover new investment opportunities, technology transfer and international collaborations.

The initiative was part of the activities carried out by UNIDO for the benefit of Iraq financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
